Sonoma, California: Our customer for the black Ford Falcon was a veteran who had purchased this car a long time ago. The vehicle had a single-stage paint, meaning that it didn’t have any clear coat, which made the paint prone to oxidation and a faded look to the car. Our customer’s goal was to have this classic Ford Falcon ready for Veteran’s Day during which had planned to take the vehicle out and about alongside his daughter.
A challenge to removing the oxidation and putting a graphene sealant on this car was that we had to work in an apartment complex where we had no access to water and power. However, at Robust, we have mastered the art and science of mobile detailing to the point that we make most of the Bay Area shop work look like rookie work! We performed our signature rinseless wash on the car, gave it an effective clay bar treatment, and then proceeded to use a heavy cutting pad with our Rupes cordless polishers and a heavy compound that cut through all the oxidation on the vehicle.
On several horizontal surfaces, we had to do multiple passes to get rid of exceedingly deep paint oxidation. At the end of our work, the vehicle looked like a black pearl, as shown in the video as well, and the customer was flabbergasted and blown away by the gloss and shine of the Ford Falcon after our one-step paint correction.
Cars, after our homes, are the second largest financial investment we make in our lives. Did you know that your car's cosmetics are valued at about 30% of its retail price and having a professional film, paint corrected, and ceramic coating installed on your vehicle can save you thousands of dollars in maintenance and cosmetic damage while maintaining a higher than normal resale value? Keeping a meticulous appearance using our paint correction expertise and protecting it using paint protection films (PPF) and coatings can put money back into your wallet!
