Napa, California: A new car is a financial milestone in our lives, and with prices of new vehicles soaring, customers are keeping their cars longer and this consumer behavior equates to putting high-quality protection on their prized possessions.
Our recent customer had called us to have a ceramic or graphene coating installed on his new Chevy Trailblazer which he had planned to keep for 4-5 years. With the rainy season about to hit us in northern California, the timing couldn’t be perfect to have the coating installed in October.
The Chevy Trailblazer was only a day old from its pickup at the dealership so we weren’t expecting a lot of paint issues on the vehicle’s exterior. However, we did notice a light haze on the new paint which would have caused the graphene coating on the vehicle to fail prematurely. We started the process of coating installation by first washing the car with a light foam wash and drying it using ultra-plush high-gsm microfiber drying towels and blow-drying crevices and nooks.
After inspecting the surface, we noted that the vehicle’s paint had no above surface contaminants which could interfere with our installation process. To get rid of the haze on the Trailblazer’s paint, we performed a one-step polishing on the painted surfaces using a light-cut polishing pad and a light-cut polish. This polishing process left a mirror-like finish on the car’s painted surfaces which completely blew the customer who noticed that the car was now looking better than the showroom finish!
We finished the installation process by installing a graphene coating, systematically and panel-by-panel, all over the vehicle, including all the painted surfaces, chrome, polycarbonates(lights), wheels, and front windshield. The vehicle looked breathtaking with an exceptional deep gloss and slick surface. All in all, the customer was exceptionally happy with the results of his new car.
